Digital cameras have become so popular and are now more common than film cameras. The 'simplicity' and 'ease' touted by stores manufactures is a bit inflated, especially for the new camera user. What is normally left out is the overall integration with the computer and your existing software. With this brings concepts of CD & DVD burning, emailing photos, uploading, downloading, printing and the list goes on, not to mention the learning of the computer itself. There is just a lot to learn. As a teacher, trainer and consultant, I'm here to help you every step of the way. That's what I do - every day.
With digital photography also comes programs like Photoshop CS, Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Lightroom, Bridge, Camera RAW, Photomatix, Autopano Pro, Picasa and iPhoto. These applications have grown and advanced to the point of having large and long learning curves. Simply sitting down and trying to "figure it out" is no longer a viable or cost-effective method of learning.
